What is Food Allergy Week (FAW)?
Food Allergy Week is an important annual initiative of Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia that aims to raise awareness about food allergy in Australia, to help reduce the risk of a reaction for those living with food allergy and to help manage potentially life-threatening emergencies when they happen.
Food Allergy Week runs from 13-19 May 2018 and calls on all Australians to Be Aware and Show You Care by getting involved with this year’s activities.
Jo Abi is a writer and media commentator at Nine Digital, contributing to 9Honey.com.au, Nine.com.au as well as various TV shows including the TODAY show. She has three children, one of whom suffers from severe food allergies. Jo is passionate about educating others about the seriousness of food allergies and the importance of food safety.
Adam Rozenbachs is a comedian whose skills come in many forms: stand-up, writer, broadcaster and questionable actor. Adam has performed over ten Melbourne International Comedy Festival shows, including his latest, the critically acclaimed Hold My Beer – Adam Rozenbachs is a true Melbourne comedic star in Hold My Beer ★★★★ HERALD-SUN. As well as performing all over the country, Adam is also a radio regular with Kennedy/Molloy on Triple M, 774ABC and SEN. He is also currently a writer for the Front Bar on the Seven network and The Weekly with Charlie Pickering on ABC. You may also remember Adam as the Coles Superhero, but he’d prefer you didn’t.
Adam has a severe allergy to peanuts, so knows first-hand how important it is for all Australians to be allergy aware.
Wiggles are the world’s most popular children’s entertainment group which formed in Sydney, Australia in 1991. Having performed for over 26 years, it’s now the case that children who once saw the fab four of fun are now bringing their children to enjoy the best in early childhood entertainment!
